In future, featured images will be dedicated to new photographers. But for the time being Ian Murphy's photos are being used in order to illustrate how to find the pictures you are looking for, and use the provinces in the map.

This site has been developed with ease of use in mind. Peruse the categories or explore the image bank by Province by simply hovering your cursor over the province of interest. Each category is comprised of all the photos that fall under that category. For more specific results you can make use of the tags at the top of the page to use the search bar. For example, clicking on the category 'Wildlife' will show you all the photos of wildlife available on Zamstock. If you want images of, say birds only, you can click on the 'birds' tab that sits at the top of the page, or search 'birds' using the search tab.

Licensing options

Zamstock Photos offers two types of licensing: One Time Use and Extended Use. Their standard One Time Use License permits you to use the purchased media in one design under specific terms and conditions. Their Extended Use License expands on the One Time Use License to increase both the types and quantities of reproduction permitted, namely the ability to use the media within items that are meant for resale.

One Time Use License for personal web use

Subject to the restrictions under Prohibited Uses, the following are 'Permitted Uses' of media purchased from Zamstock Photos:

1. School or university projects

2. Decorative background on a personal computer or mobile device

3. Online or electronic publications, including web pages, blogs, eBooks and videos, limited to a maximum of 480,000 total pixels (for example 600px x 800px) per media file, provided the usage is not for profit by a natural person not a company or any kind of organization.

Extended Use License for all other uses

The Extended Use License expands on the One Time Use License in the following ways:

1. Invitations, advertising and promotional projects, including printed materials, product packaging, presentations, film and video presentations, commercials, catalogues, brochures, promotional greeting cards and promotional postcards up to an unlimited number of prints

2. Entertainment applications, such as books and book covers, magazines, newspapers, editorials, newsletters, and video, broadcast and theatrical presentations up to an unlimited number of prints

To embark on this exciting journey and share your artistic vision with the world, follow these straightforward steps and submit your photos:

1. Prepare your photos

Firstly, ensure that your photographs meet Zamstock's size requirements. For optimal stock image usage, images should be at least 9 megapixels. The minimum accepted size in 2500 pixels for the long edge at 300dpi. Because Zamstock applies their watermark to contributors' images and credits artists for their work, refrain from using custom watermarks on your submissions. Zamstock upholds a zero-tolerance policy for duplicates. Select only the best images from any single setup and refrain from submitting numerous shots of the same subject taken from excessive angles. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or just stating out, strive for excellence in every submission. Be technically sound, meticulous, and selective in choosing your images.

2. Collate your submission

Each photograph should be accompanied by essential information, including:

- The title, including information like the location where the photograph was taken

- The relevant tags and keywords to enhance visibility in search results

- A unique number assigned to each photograph for identification purposes

- The photographer's name - credit yourself as the talented photographer behind the camera lens

- Contact details, including your email address and telephone number, for communication purposes

3. Submit your package

Use www.wetransfer.com to send your photos along with a separate form for each image containing the necessary information outlined above. Send the package to photography@zamstockphotos.com.

• Mwabi Jere is a communications specialist and digital marketer. She is committed to showcasing local businesses and changemakers, "a cheerleader for the unsung heroes, and a relentless ambassador of love for all things local".
• Idah Zimba is a determined and passionate web developer. Her innovative psirit and self-taought skills are a testament to the power of determination, passion, and the endless possiblitis that await those who dare to learn and create.
• Sana Ginwalla is a Zambian-born artist who delves into the politics of identity, home and belonging through her creative work. Her written and photographic works aim to shift perspectives and counter stereotypes of African countries.
• Ruth Simujayangombe is a lawyer specialising in intellectual property and collecitve management. She is dedicated to advancing the field of collective management (where rights and interests are managed collectively on behalf of a group of individuals or entities) in Zambia.
• William Miko is an acclaimed Zambian artist, spanning various media, and an advocate for the growth and recognition of local artists. His journey draws inspiration from his cultural heritage and the vibrant landscapes of Zambia.
