Products

Fungicides – protection from various plant fungal diseases including powdery mildew, leaf rust, scab, citrus black spot and downy mildew.

Herbicides - remove weeds which compete with the crop for important resources that include nutrients, water and light.

Insecticides - control insect pests like white-flies, aphids, mealybugs, thrips and more. Not only do insecticides keep crops healthy, they are also used to combat against disease spreading insects like ticks.

Seed treatment - a process where a fungicide, insecticide and/or nematode treatment is applied individually or in combination onto seeds before planting. Once planted, seeds can become vulnerable to seed and ground bearing diseases, early seasonal insects and nematodes if they have not undergone any form of seed treatment.

Syngenta Zambia carries out extensive research to ensure that it fully understands its hybrids and varieties. From drilling date trials, seed rate trials and component of yield trials to fungicide interaction trials and grain quality trials, Syngenta delivers high quality seed for farmers to grow.

Soya beans

The world's primary source of protein and edible oil, soya beans is a vital crop for our daily existence due to its vast number of uses including food, livestock feed, consumer and industrial products. Currently, Syngenta Zambia has one soya variety, DINA, on the market, with more in development.
