Safari Par Excellence provide canoeing safaris that can be half day, full day or overnight. Abundant viewings of hippo, crocodile, elephant, giraffe and birdlife along the route are common on the Upper Zambezi River between Zimbabwe's Victoria Falls and Zambezi National Parks on the south bank, and the pristine bush of the Zambia Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park on the north bank. This activity is for those of reasonable fitness, 12 years or over. The Upper Zambezi River is a beautiful place for canoeing.

The Upper Zambezi River has stunning vegetation such as ebonies, water berries, palms and a tremendous variety of acacia and albizia. SafPar provides the best way to explore the upper river, its islands and channels. The rapids are small and at their peak are only classed as grade two, which is the second easiest grade.

The canoe trail whilst operated in Zambia passes through National Parks located in Zimbabwe, and the pristine bush land of Zambia where there is a possibility of chances to see game such as hippo, crocodile, elephant, giraffe and numerous birdlife. All canoe trips are accompanied by a licensed river guide. Canoes range from two-seater open-decked kayaks to inflatable ‘crocodiles’.
Sit back in your comfortable two man canoe and let the river take you along its current. Your armed river guide will take you down remote channels between the islands in this magnificently diverse and abundant river, where your opportunities to get close to game are very high.
