Guided Private Safaris

Personal Touch Safaris are more than happy to organise your game drives for the day or your entire stay. Their quality private safaris are ideal for photographic drives in Luangwa National Park, with their local professional in your own private game viewing vehicle. All their safaris are priced per vehicle for a maximum of 9 people. And if you wish, you can have your guide show you more of rural Zambia and life around the park.

Guided and Self-drive Combo Safaris

This is Personal Touch Safaris' most popular package. Choosing a self-drive safari option puts you behind the wheel, in charge of your own 4x4 rental vehicle, and choosing your own timetable and itinerary. This is combined with some professional guidance when heading into the famous South Luangwa National Park. A Zambian qualified guide will drive your vehicle on all drives inside the park, as you explore the remoteness of South Luangwa. The hire car remains exclusively for you and your party allowing a more personalised experience.

You can also enjoy a night safari, staying in the park later than you would when driving your own vehicle. So sit back, enjoy the views, and spend quality time with your friends, whilst someone else does the driving. (Self-drives in "normal" closed vehicles are permitted in South Luangwa, between 06.00-18.00 hours.)

This package starts at about USD 200 per day, including a rental vehicle for 24 hours and about 8 hours of professional guiding services. For days not entering the park, different rates apply. The maximum number of people per vehicle is 9.

If you hire one of these vehicles for more than three days, prices include transfers to and from Mfuwe International Airport. No mileage restrictions! Based in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia, Personal Touch Safaris has 4×4's in mint condition – for transfers from Mfuwe International Airport to lodges or community projects, as well as for transport in the park. Used by professionals in the film industry and others in need of fully serviced 4×4 Land rover 110's or 300 TDI game viewing vehicles.

Personal Touch Safaris can assist, if you are travelling in a big group wanting to do your own game-drives in the South Luangwa National Park. The vehicles can seat up to nine persons, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the drives with your complete party, making sure nobody misses out on good sightings. There are no time restrictions for self drives giving you the possibility to enter the park for the full twelve hours.
