The YCTC training programs are recognised by the “Technical Education and Vocational Entrepreneurship Authority” (TEVETA)

Olga’s finances the school and it also provides on the job training for students of catering courses. Some of the best graduates of YCTC are now employed at Olga's.

As an additional source of income, the school has set up production units in carpentry, tailoring, and metal workshop, which sell products to the community of Livingstone and tourists. To see a selection of crafts from the YCTC carpentry and tailoring workshop visit the showroom

At YCTC, every afternoon recreational activities are offered to about 250 youth and children. Children in particular are supervised by qualified educators. YCTC is actually one of the few places, if not the only one, in Livingstone where youth can come together, socialize in a peaceful environment, and be supported in a variety of ways, including short skill courses. They can also read books at the library. YCTC also organizes big sport tournaments such as basketball, football and netball involving many other schools

Olga's and YCTC are a success story. A winning partnership with local authorities, universities, NGOs and private donors allows on one side to achieve the school's economic sustainability and on the other has offered new working opportunities to youth in the tourism sector, which is a priority area for the Zambian government.

Olga’s is open from breakfast to dinner. The Italian breakfast includes fresh homemade pastries which are made daily (crêpes and muffins), cappuccino, Italian espresso and various fruit juices. Also serves English breakfast and continental breakfast.

For lunch and dinner the rich menu varies depending on seasonal ingredients. The bread and focaccia are homemade, baked in a wood-fired oven! You could also taste different types of homemade tagliatelle, farfalle, lasagna and ravioli, all served with fresh homemade sauces. The chickens come every day from Olga’s chicken run.

If you want to taste the real Italian pizza, do not miss the Chef’s specialty…. Choose your favourite among a wide range of pizzas, all cooked in a wood-fired oven. The desserts include: tiramisú, budino, crêpes and many flavors of Gelato Artigianale…

At Olga's you will also find a showroom of African crafts made by the Youth Community Training Centre carpentry and tailoring workshops.

The YCTC carpentry workshop provides a full range of metal and high quality wooden furniture from mukwa, teak and rosewood, including kitchen units, double beds, book shelves, chests of drawers, coffee tables, doors, etc. You can also order your personalised furniture handmade and tailored to your needs and desires.

The YCTC tailoring workshop makes handmade and contemporary garments and accessories women and children home made in 'Chitenge', the traditional Zambian fabric. The tailoring workshop creates custom accessories such as bags, wallets, key chains, etc. and other garments tablecloths, aprons, pillows, etc., tailored to your desires and needs.
