Baobab Swirls' founder is Rosalina Mwanza. The story began in her kitchen in 2015, when she was inspired by some rose-shaped soaps in a Craft magazine to start making soap. She began by selling lovely handcrafted soaps at farmers markets and to friends. Things progressed from there, and Baobab Swirls was registered as a business in 2017.

The concept behind Baobab Swirls was to create natural artisan skin care products in the manner of centuries past. This means that only natural, healthy ingredients are used, components that not only cleanse but also nourish the skin.
