ISL announces $8 Million campus expansion initiative

In a significant stride toward enhancing educational excellence, the International School of Lusaka (ISL) has officially launched its ambitious $8 - $10 million campus construction project.

This landmark initiative marks the first major expansion in over three decades, showcasing ISL’s commitment to fostering a nurturing and integrated learning environment since its establishment in 1963.

The new campus will feature cutting-edge learning spaces designed to promote creativity and collaboration, along with a purpose-built primary school block. It will also include an international-standard sports hall, complete with a hardwood court, weight room, and dance studio. In addition, the campus will offer a versatile multipurpose hall for exams and events, a modern administration center, and eco-friendly features aimed at reducing energy consumption.

This expansion aims to create an educational ecosystem that prepares students for global success while strengthening local connections. It marks an exciting step forward for the future of education in Zambia.

Founded in 1963, the well-established International School of Lusaka is one of the oldest international schools on the African continent, and is currently the third largest school in the Association of International Schools in Africa. ISL is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). ISL is also a member of the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA) as well as the Independent Schools Association of Zambia (ISAZ).
