SYMPTOMS OF HUMAN POISONING

Moderately irritating to skin and mucous membranes. Ingestion of high concentrations may cause fibrillary muscle twitching, tachycardia, hyperventilation, vasodilatation or even convulsion and coma

FIRST AID

Wash hair and affected skin areas with soap and water. Flush eyes with copious amounts of clean water for 10-15 minutes.

NOTE TO PHYSICIAN

If large quantities have been ingested evacuate the stomach by intubation, aspiration and lavage. Treat further symptomatically

HOW TO MIX

Fill the spray tank full, then add the required amount of this product and continue filling the tank with the balance of water. Keep agitator running when filling the tank and during spray operations. Apply this product as a water spray during warm weather when weeds or bushes are actively growing. Treatment during drought periods often will give poor results. Use with pressure to minimise spray drift

HOW and WHEN TO APPLY

2,4-D AMINE can be applied post-emergence of crop and weeds by means of ground or aerial application. It is important to avoid spray drift onto susceptible crops e.g. all broadleaf crops as well as grain varieties in susceptible stages of growth. The application should be carried out when the crop is in the correct stage of development, as indicated on the label. Weeds should only be sprayed in the young stages and when growing actively in moist soil.

WARNINGS

Allow seven days between the last application and grazing of treated areas. Handle with care. Poisonous when swallowed. Store away from food, feeds and other agricultural chemicals. Keep out of children, uninformed persons and animals. Avoid spray drift onto susceptible crops e.g. all broadleaf crops as well as all grain varieties in a susceptible stage of growth. DO not apply to land adjacent to susceptible crops as well as grain varieties in a susceptible stage of growth. May be applied by air or by tractor sprayer on land in the vicinity of susceptible crops, provided that adequate precautionary measures are taken to avoid spray drift

RE-ENTRY INTERVAL

Do not enter the treated area within 3 days after treatment unless wearing protective clothing

AERIAL APPLICATION

Notify all inhabitants in the immediate vicinity of the area to be treated and issue the necessary warnings. Do not spray over or allow drift to contaminate water or adjacent areas.
