Snakes Alive Zambia Education & Conservation (SAZI)

This course is centred around the education of basic snake awareness and recognition and aims to bring understanding to the attendee in the areas concerning the basic knowledge of the creature. This includes species, venoms, physiology and most importantly their behaviour. Extensive visuals are shown and snakes are exhibited depending on specimen availability.

All courses are designed, developed and packaged in accordance with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and are currently under scrutiny by the Zambian Technical, Education & Entrepreneurial Training Authority (TEVETA) for accreditation purposes. Research has shown that once accredited, these short courses will be, other than Queensland Australia, the only accredited courses of this subject matter in the world.

This One Day Course Aims to:	Give knowledge of the number snake species globally and locally
-	Show an understanding of the snake as a creature (physiology, behaviour, predation, senses, means of identification, etc.). Teach about the species of snakes that are likely to occur in the region (preferred habitat, diet, seasonal occurrence rate. Impart an understanding of “snake safety”.
-	Distribute conservation knowledge and the law. Demonstrate basic emergency snakebite treatment
Participants Receive:	A full colour, 64 page “learner’s manual, & Training presented with full colour Power Point presentations.
-	A Certificate of Attendance”.
-	Upon request of the client/group, an open book theory test can be conducted
