Transformers from current surges and overloads. Cut-outs are typically mounted about 20 degrees off vertical so that the centre of gravity of the fuse holder is displaced and the fuse holder will rotate and fall open under its own weight when the fuse blows. Mechanical tension on the fuse link normally holds an ejector spring in a stable position.

Three types of Drop out fuses for protection in distribution & transmission line are manufactured by us.

  • Bracket type
  • Channel mounting type
  • Single solid core insulator type.

The main characteristics of Drop-out fuses are as under:

  • Available ratings : 11, 22 & 33kV.
  • Current rating : 50 to 200Amps.
  • Vertical mounting type
  • Confirms IS:9385/ IEC 282-2, 1970
  • After removing the fuse barrel by an operating pole, fuse wire can be replaced.
