Wasawange Lodge and Tours in Livingstone, Zambia, provides a full service package, with a wide selection of on-site services. Whilst you can use this as a base to explore Livingstone, Zambia and its many adventures, you can also quite easily have a great time staying on site for a day or two just relaxing and enjoying the pool, gardens, restaurant (with its own bakery and butchery!), bar, great Livingstone accommodation and a high standard of service. This is a Livingstone lodge that has been around for a long time and has stood the test of time. There is a nice mix of older more classic architecture, lush gardens and more traditional thatched chalets. The Wasawange strapline is 'where the welcome never ends' and the pictures displayed in the reception of previous famous visitors to the lodge are proof of this. They even include the Royal Highness Prince and Princess Takamado of Japan.
Livingstone accommodation
The accommodation here is varied and includes luxury chalets, more conventional self catering executive apartments, a guest house, a presidential suite and standard rooms. The majority of the Livingstone accommodation is traditional in its thatched style, with materials being sourced locally as much as possible, from community assistance programs which Wasawange supports.
There are three superb self catering apartments that are fully furnished in a home away from home style, with a dining and lounge area, self contained bedroom, guest conveniences (so they don't have to go into your bedroom) and kitchen. The apartment is perfect for entertaining clients, friends or relatives. The apartments also serve as a nice hideaway where guests can quietly do their own thing! The executive guest house has that touch of luxury.
The presidential suite is sumptuous with a classic feel, stunning decorative curtains and extra large settees; it also boasts a his 'n' hers bathroom, lounge and dining area. Ideal for top executives or honeymooners.
The chalets offer a more relaxing option for your Livingstone accommodation. They are spread across the valley, some in the main area of the grounds, and some a stone's throw away. They are interconnected with criss crossing paths and set among trees which provide inviting dappled shade on the central lawn. Chalets come with double or twin bed and a triple set up can be arranged on request. All chalets are quite luxurious with inspiring artwork and en-suite bathrooms with showers.
