Find out more about this iconic landmark by taking a stroll through the Bridge Visitor Centre. Here, wherever possible, is described the building of the bridge directly through the words of those involved in its planning and erection.

The bridge has also been described as 'an ornament rather than a desecration of the scene', and according to the American Society of Civil Engineering, 'embodies the best abilities of the engineer to enhance the beauty of nature rather than detract from it'.

Copies of original photos are on display which whee taken from the early 1900's on show starting from pre-construction through the building of the bridge, right up to what the bridge is today!

Free entry for all visitors to the bridge.

The bridge tour can be combined with a light lunch at the Bridge Café offering views of the Batoka Gorge, the rapids of the mighty Zambezi River and during high waters, views of the waterfalls themselves.

Bridge swing – Swing, off the famous Victoria Falls Bridge which is one of the most iconic landmarks in the area. Take a leap of faith before freefalling for up to 70 metres before you fly out over the raging rapids of the Zambezi River in a huge arc with the mighty waterfalls rumbling by your side.

Bridge slide – Enjoy this fun and mildly adventurous slide also called a zipline, which can be done alone, or with a friend. Slide across the Batoka Gorge from the Zambian side, landing up on the Victoria Falls Bridge whilst providing spectacular views of the mighty waterfalls in high season.
