The Unichip gets wired into the existing ECU, if it is removed the engine goes back to standard. Every Unichip install comes with a bypass plug that reverts your vehicle back to stock tune. The main difference between other after market chips and the Unichip is that with the Unichip every individual engine can easily be optimised whether gasoline or diesel, turbo, supercharged, American, Japanese, European and others.
