Honk, you’ve arrived! Peace and quiet prevails within… There is secure on-site parking within the grounds of the lodge. Thorn Park Lodge has created beautiful surrounds that are visually appealing with simple but effective touches like a crisp green lawn, stone pathways, growing palm trees and shaded garden seating for guests. If you have a spare five minutes, you'll be comfortable outside where you can soak up some sun, read or enjoy a refreshing drink.
Lodge accommodation
All rooms are of a simple but pleasant standard for people looking for middle range, comfortable and affordable accommodation. The most basic room is a handy self contained room with all essentials including an in-room shower. Or guests can choose executive accommodation that includes air conditioning, a fridge, tea and coffee station and en-suite facilities. Top of the range rooms are extra-spacious with lounge areas satellite TV and jacuzzi – and still excellent value for money. Guests have at hand the extension numbers to the reception, bar, kitchen, security room and staff room so you can make your orders or enquiries from the comfort of your room.
Tour advice
If you wish, as a tourist or in between business, to explore Lusaka's lively markets, busy street scenes and its vibrant night life, then reception staff are able to give advice or book tours, activities or particular venues on your behalf. Staff will always make time to share some handy local secrets. Be sure to ask about the many places you can explore on the outskirts of Lusaka with a relaxing outdoor feel – such as private game farms, gardens and activity centres. Airport transfers to and from Lusaka International Airport can be arranged with prior booking and you can ask the staff for advice on local taxi services.
Food and drink
Guests and members of the public are welcome to drop in for lunch or dinner, as well as enjoy some time out at the bar. A flat screen TV showing DSTV satellite channels is stationed within the bar so you don't miss out on any important sports or news (high on people's agenda in the city!) The menu includes a wide range of standard starters, main courses, deserts and snacks. There is also a traditional Zambian main course menu from which you can sample succulent local flavours like village chicken, game meat, ox tail, and much more.Information
