Offering the convenience of being able to study at home in front of the computer, distance learning is becoming increasingly common in the education field. This method of learning is an ideal option for individuals that are in employment and unable to enroll full time.

While distance learning may lack the personal touch of having a lecturer in the room, students have a staff member assigned to the course whom they can contact with any questions or problems they may come across.

Academic calendar

Rusangu University's academic year runs on a quarter system as follows:

Full time students

• 1st quarter - January to March

• 2nd quarter - May to July

• 3rd quarter - September to November

Block release students (Ideal for in-service)

• 1st Quarter - April

• 2nd Quarter - August

• 3rd Quarter - December
