The L-shaped lounge has comfortable sofas and chairs with amazing views over the terrace, pool and river to the game park beyond. There's a fireplace for cold evenings and aircon for warm ones. In the kitchen off the lounge chef prepares meals which are served inside or outside depending on the weather.
On the shady terrace guests can dine, relax and stay cool out of the hot sunshine or warm up with braziers on cold evenings. And for people who just can't bear to leave the world behind there's wifi – which also means you can download great birding, stargazing and other apps to help you make the most of what you see.
The pool
The infinity pool, lined with Kariba stone that sparkles slightly in the sunshine, lies between house and river so you can sit on the terrace with an almost uninterrupted view of water. It's deep enough for a good swim, and also has a gently sloping 'beach' end making it safer for children. You can relax on a sunbed or cool off on one of the in-pool platforms with a chilled drink in your hand. And the pool lights at night mean you can even take a midnight dip under the stars.
Perfect after a hard day enjoying yourself around Victoria Falls!
Waterberry activities
See Victoria Falls. Walking around the Falls is different at every season, from so overflowing that viewing is like a tropical rainstorm to the dry season where you can see all the way to the rapids at the bottom.
At the Farmhouse your private boat can take you on sunset, dawn or daytime cruises, fishing and island picnics.
There's guided birding with local guides, and guided tours to the village, many of the staff live in the local villages and are proud to explain how rural Zambians lead their lives. Support the local preschool is encouraged. The tour of Livingstone town, museum and markets shows you past and present in this town that used to be the country's capital.
