Busanga Plains Camp provide a restaurant and bar with an expansive thatch roof allowing for beautiful sunrises to be seen in the morning. Power is limited but solar lights and paraffin lamps are provided in tents. Busanga Plains Camp provides great views of game viewing in one of the biggest game sanctuaries in Africa, in the abundant game of the untouched atmosphere that prevails in Kafue Park. The commonly seen animals are red lechwe, roan antelope, leopard, cheetah, puku, African wild dog, impala, duiker, sitatunga, lechwe, sable, hippo, buffalo, crocodiles, lion, elephant and hartebeest and a wide range of other animals. The Kafue National Park has over 500 recorded bird species with common species that include Black-cheeked Lovebird, Pel's Fishing Owl, Bohm's Bee-eaters, Sunbirds, Helmetshrikes, Paradise Fly-catchers, pelican, egrets, Kingfisher, Arnot's Chat's, Wattled Crane, African Fin-foot, Crowned Crane and Chaplin's Barbet.
Game drives
Busanga Plains Camp provides game drives two times in day, one leaves at dawn and the other in the late afternoon 2 hours before sunset. The vehicles are positioned in the park, which is a short boat trip across the Kafue River so game.
Walking safaris
Busanga Plains Camp provides walking safaris which begin an hour after dawn. The walks take place in the Kafue National Park.
