About the lodge
Mu-Fungata Safari Lodge is set on a massive reserve in the west of Zambia and is a must see destination for the tourist who want an experience of the untouched African bush. From wildlife game viewing, to birding and fishing, Mu-Fungata has it all. You will find many different species of buck, buffalo, and wildebeest in the park as well as big game cats such as lions, cheetah and the illusive leopard. The Kafue National Park boasts 490 different bird species ideal for the bird-watching enthusiasts.

The bar and dining areas overlook the river, providing a spectacular view. There is also a sheltered two story viewing deck constructed down the river allows magnificent viewing of the Kafue River and surrounds.
Game viewing
Game drives are led by an experienced team of guides and drives start at first light and in the late afternoon when wildlife is most active. After sundowners, spotlights are used to view nocturnal animals. Walking safaris can be arranged on request but the majority of outings are game drives, allowing guests to explore as much of the park as possible
