Property management
The company's property management department currently supervises over 75 properties. Homenet maintains these properties to the highest standard in order to achieve good rental returns. The company has a flexible approach to suit the needs of individual clients.
Property valuations
Homenet Zambia has a well-established valuation team which has the capability to undertake property valuations for insurance, sale or purchase, mortgage or collateral, compensation, leasing and rent revision. Homenet Zambia will undertake the valuation of chattels, including furniture, equipment, machinery, and vehicles.
Homenet's fees for professional valuation services are negotiable with the client. It is normal practice for Homenet to agree on fees based on a scale set out in the Valuation Surveyors Act. As a guide, scale fees are as follows:
- Land and buildings: 0.30% of the assessed market value
- Furniture and fittings: 2.50% of the assessed market value
- For insurance: 0.10% of the value or cost assessed
