Comfort Lodge

Travelling along Great East Road in Lusaka, you can't miss Comfort Lodge's bright yellow exterior! This is a Zambian-owned lodge awarded grade 'A' status by the National Tourism Board, a standard it has maintained since 2001 when it first opened. You'll experience Zambian hospitality here, with a team of regularly trained staff dedicated to excellence.

Each room is equipped with digital satellite TV, mini bar, fridge, work desk, safe deposit box, tea and coffee making facilities and mosquito repellent devices.

In 2001, geographical surveys and scientific predictions suggested that Zambia would provide the best possible vantage point to view the eclipse of the sun. As a result there was an accommodation shortage in Lusaka, with all hotels fully booked. And Comfort Lodge was born.

There's a spacious garden here open to residents and outside clients too. There's also a well-maintained swimming pool free to residents. Non-residents are charged a small fee. The outside bar area provides a variety of beers, spirits, ciders, wines and soft drinks. A large TV ensures visitors can stay up to date with international events and sport. The bar stays open until midnight. Take note that there's a happy hour from 17:30 to 18.30 every Friday, when Comfort Lodge often puts on a popular half price drinks deal in the evening.

Restaurant

The restaurant is open to residents and outside clients. It is bright and modern with a contemporary menu that includes snacks and steaks. A full English breakfast is served either in the restaurant or in the garden, between 07:00 and 10:00. Both local and international fare is available. Guests can request specific meals – understandably 24 hours notice must be given to enable staff to purchase particular ingredients.

Boutique and hair salon

Comfort Lodge boasts a boutique stocking clothing and accessories for ladies and gentlemen as well as an up to date hair salon, barber shop and nail bar.Facilities

Basic equipment such as a screen, flip chart, pens, writing pads and mints are always available.

A typical package for an all day conference schedule costs ZMW185.00 per delegate including morning and afternoon tea or coffee, snacks and a buffet lunch. A small business centre can be found in the reception area where local, mobile and international dialing facilities are available as well as fax, internet , photocopying and printing services.
