Enjoy your Zambia fishing safari on the Zambezi River which teems with huge schools of fish, particularly tiger fish and several species of bream (including threespot and nembwe). Daily fishing safari excursions and fishing boat charters deliver action and excitement. Travel along the river banks in customized 18 foot aluminium boats powered by 60hp Mercury 4 stroke motors and equipped with GPS fish finder combos, especially designed for anglers. For your fishing safari each boat comfortably accommodates two fly fishermen and each boat is skippered by one of Angle Zambia's knowledgeable and experienced local river guides. Few have explored these untouched parts of the Zambezi River and your senses will be awakened as you take in awe-inspiring scenes. There's no need to interrupt a good day's fishing so a gourmet picnic lunch will be packed for you. Alternatively you will be met on the river for a full banquet complete with white linen tableware!
Wildlife
As well as enjoying a fishing safari, within this region there is an abundance of Zambia wildlife. The area has been described as something of a holy grail for wildlife enthusiasts, simply due to its array of fauna and flora and its remoteness. Thousands of wildebeest migrate to the lush plains after the rains in what is considered to be Africa's second largest animal migration. A host of other Zambia wildlife inhabit the plains too, including oribi, zebra and red lechwe, as well as predators like hyenas, lion and the occasional cheetah. The bird life is rich and varied with about 450 of Zambia's recorded 740 species found in this region. Of particular note are the water birds where sheer numbers can be staggering. The extremely abundant eco-system continues to exist partly due to the remoteness of Barotseland which forms part of the Kingdom of the Lozi in western Zambia.
Getting to Barotse Tiger Camp

Your aircraft and pilot will remain with you for the duration of your stay. Another option is to fly to either Livingstone or Lusaka via a commercial carrier from Oliver Tambo Airport in Johannesburg and then connect with a local charter company to the Barotse Tiger Camp.
