Their manufacturing plant produces a complete range of galvanised iron, aluminium and aluminium-zinc roofing sheets to industry standards IBR and corrugated profiles. The plant also has facilities for slitting flat sheets, bull nosing and the manufacture of roofing ridges, gutters and flashings. Aluworks Industries has an automatic roll forming machine for the manufacture of trapezoidal (IBR) and corrugated roofing products in various gauges and colours. The plant has a combined monthly production capacity in excess of 400,000 metres of roofing sheets in a normal eight-hour working shift. Depending on client's requirements and intended application, Aluworks Industries offers roofing sheets in various industry standard thickness gauges of 0.3mm, 0.4mm and 0.5mm. IBR roofing sheets The Aluworks IBR (Inverted Box Rib) is a square fluted profile which comes in IT4, IT5 and IT6 profile sizes designed for use as side cladding or roofing material in commercial, industrial and residential buildings. The deep broad flute design offers excellent drainage characteristics combined with optimum weight versus load/span capabilities. IBR roofing sheets are available in a wide range of materials offering various structural properties. They are manufactured in custom lengths of up to 15 metres. Longer sheets may be manufactured upon request and may require special transportation arrangements. Corrugated roofing sheets Aluworks has roll forming machines that produce high quality corrugated sheets. The roll forming process is a modern process that is highly automated and achieves high productivity with affordable pricing. Corrugated galvanized iron is a building material composed of sheets of hot dip galvanized mild steel, cold rolled to produce a linear corrugation. The product is lightweight and easily transported. It is widely used in rural and peri urban Zambia especially in low-cost housing and commercial farm buildings such as chicken runs and storage sheds. Common gauges of corrugated material at Aluworks range from 0.3mm to 0.5mm. Aluminium-zinc roof sheeting Aluminium-zinc roof sheeting is available in three profiles, IT4, IT5 and IT6. The aluminium zinc alloy coating on steel imparts corrosion resistance of up to four times the life span of galvanised steel. Chromadek roof sheeting Chromadek roof sheeting is available in various industry standard IBR profiles (IT4, IT5 and IT6) and corrugated profiles in many popular colour options.
