Vehicles seat up to nine people with ample space for individuals together with their bags, binoculars and guide books.
Chikunto Safaris was founded by Jens Kant, his late wife Regula, and the late Josephat Musoni. The lodge opened in April 2018. Very tragically, both Regula and Josephat have passed away. However their legacies live on. Chikunto Safari Lodge's clients and tour operators are looked after by Gareth Jones who has more than 20 years experience in international hospitality.

The main area stretches over various elevated decked levels amongst which a tempting double plunge pool with a waterfall linking the two is situated. Each chalet has either a four poster king-size double bed or twin beds, and a walk-in mosquito net. They are all ensuite with a shower and toilet, and have private decks.
Nkwali is located on the banks of the Luangwa on a magnificent meander in the river overlooking the National Park where leopards roam along the bank and can often be spotted from camp. On private land outside the park, a private game viewing area behind camp as well as exclusive access into the park by boat or across the pontoon.
Fishing for Tiger Fish is one of the seasonal specialties of the Zambezi River. Although Tiger Fish and other species can be caught throughout their safari season, the best time to catch Tiger Fish is from late August to mid November during the hotter months of the year.
